Dual-Voltage 3-Tap Distribution Transformers: Ideal Power Solution for Central Asia Export Projects
Jun 08,2026
A new batch of export-grade S13-M series distribution transformers has been completed for delivery to Central Asia, specifically customized to adapt to the complex and variable local power grid conditions. Unlike standard single-voltage transformers, this model integrates dual high-voltage compatibility and three-tap voltage regulation, making it highly suitable for industrial parks, mining areas, and rural power upgrading projects across Central Asian countries.
The transformer supports dual high-voltage input of 10kV and 6kV, covering two common grid voltage levels widely existing in Central Asia’s old and new power systems. Many local power infrastructures retain traditional 6kV networks, while newly built industrial zones adopt standard 10kV power supply systems. This dual-voltage design allows one single transformer to adapt to two different grid environments, effectively avoiding repeated equipment investment and improving project flexibility.

Equipped with a ±5% three-position off-circuit tap changer, the equipment can precisely adjust output voltage according to on-site grid fluctuation. It ensures a stable 400V low-voltage output even under unstable voltage conditions, which is extremely practical for Central Asia’s remote regions and long-distance power supply scenarios. Adopting the advanced S13-M fully sealed oil-immersed structure, the transformer features low energy loss, strong heat dissipation, dustproof and moisture-proof performance, fully adapting to Central Asia’s dry climate and harsh outdoor operating conditions.
With the DY.yn11 connection group and standard 0.4kV low-voltage output, the transformer matches international power distribution standards and meets local industrial and civil electricity demands. Compared with ordinary fixed-voltage transformers, this customized dual-voltage and multi-tap model greatly improves grid compatibility, reduces operation and maintenance costs, and enhances power supply stability.
As Central Asia continues to promote energy infrastructure upgrading and industrial construction, high-adaptability export transformers have become core power equipment for cross-border engineering projects. This batch of customized transformers will provide reliable, energy-saving, and cost-effective power support for local grid reconstruction and industrial development.
